An arrhythmia is said to be a problem with the speed or rhythm of the heartbeat. A disorder in the heart’s electrical system causes Atrial Fibrillation. People who have a Heart fibrillation or Atrial Fibrillation may not even feel symptoms, but even when not noticed, Atrial Fibrillation can increase the probability of having stroke. For other patients, particularly when the rhythm is extremely rapid, Atrial Fibrillation could cause chest pain, heart attack, or even heart failure. Atrial Fibrillation may occur rarely or every now and then, or it may become a persistent or permanent heart rhythm lasting for almost years.

Hawthorn Berry is a herb that can enhance coronary artery blood flow as well as contraction force of the muscles of the heart. This might result in the increase of blood flow to the extremities. Increased oxygenation as a result of better circulation also enhances transportation of nutrients to and from the cell. While Magnesium helps regulate neuromuscular activities of the cell and the mitochondria (power house of the cell), it is also a necessary component without these supplies; the mitochondria will no longer produce energy. With aging and low magnesium concentration, these can be a risk factor in causing atrial fibrillation. However it is always best to consult your cardiologist so that proper treatment management will be administered to you.
