Ear and throat pain are usually due to either a bacterial or a viral infection. Viral infections are usually self-limiting and does not require any medication. Management is usually supportive and medications are on an as needed basis. Bacterial infections may need antibiotics to resovle the infection. Increase fluid intake is often advised. Good oral hygiene should be practiced. You may also take analgesics like paracetamol to relieve the pain.
